Bali bras are well-made, comfortable, and attractive.
Bali bras were the original push up bras. Created in the 1920s,
when bras were meant to show a womans physique as flat and
lacking any curves at all, Bali bras were created by Sara Stein
as a piece of clothing that would be attractive to women yet still
serve an important function by providing support. Because she worked
at a bra manufacturing plant, Stein had the know-how and experience
to begin making Bali bras.
She began working on the first Bali bras in her apartment in Brooklyn.
When she finished the first bras, her husband sold them to department
stores in the area and introduced women to the first push up bras.
Bali bras helped accentuate a womans natural curves while
helping her feel feminine and attractive through their beautiful
craftsmanship and styling.
Bali bras were a huge success, and Sara Stein and her husband were
considered revolutionaries in their industry. They introduced many
other models of Bali bras, models that influenced other companies
and brands in their own manufacturing. When the Steins decided to
retire, the Hanes Corporation acquired the company and continued
to produce Bali bras in a number of different styles, colors, and
shapes
even including pieces as racy as sheer bras.
Even after 80 years, Bali bras continue to work toward the goal
of flattering womens curves while providing a product that
is attractive and appealing to women. Bali bras can now be found
as push up bras, sheer bras, maternity bras, and even more special
interest garments.
