Shelf bras are erotic fun in a small package.
If youve ever wanted the oomph and pick up of push up bras
with a little extra spice, its time to try shelf bras. With
the same cleavage-enhancing design and fabric, shelf bras dont
separate quite as much as push up bras. Rather than having each
breast in a different cup, shelf bras support both breasts with
one support mechanism.
One of the more risqué pieces of common ladies underwear,
shelf bras are responsible for that pushed-together
look you may often see on TV or in the movies. You know, theres
usually a club scene with a gorgeous-but-somewhat-dim-witted blonde
in a tight spandex dress and snapping her gum. She leans over, and
the lead actors are amazed at what they see: two large breasts pushed
together to form the ultimate cleavage cocktail. Chances are that
dimwitted delight was wearing shelf bras.
While shelf bras do have two separate cups, the support doesnt
lie in the individual cups. Instead, shelf bras have a single band
of elastic or spandex running beneath both cups creating a shelf.
This pulls the breasts up and together, forming the infamous cleavage.
Also, while push up bras tend to have full coverage throughout the
cups, shelf bras tend to encourage spilling of the breasts.
This means that shelf bras stop short of covering the entire breast
and most of it is permitted to spill over the top of shelf bras.
The nipple is often exposed. Hey, we told you it was risqué
ladies underwear. You were warned!
