Sport bras are the right choice for exercise.

You pack your bag for the gym: athletic socks, ponytail holder, shorts, T-shirt, sneakers, and sport bras. You fasten your watch onto your wrist and preset it for the exact amount of time you intend to work out later in the day, then let it stay set on that time through your work day. Every so often, you glance down during meetings or telephone calls and fantasize about the workout you’ll have once you get to the gym.

Time ticks by, morning meeting, lunch, afternoon meeting, phone call after phone call until finally time ticks to 5 o’clock. It’s time. You rush to the employee bathroom and replace your sexy underwear with a sport bra before leaving the building. Now you can sprint to your car and zoom out of the parking lot, checking the glove box for your water bottle. As you open it, the extra sport bras you keep stowed in the compartment just in case you ever feel like a spur-of-the-moment workout spill out onto the floorboard. You don’t care about the sport bras all over the floor and seat, you keep driving.

Your heart rate picks up before you even walk in the gym door. Your body knows it’s almost time to work, time to let off the stress of the day, time to let the sport bras do their job and give your back a break as it works through the stress of your life. There’s no sexy underwear here, just pure cotton and spandex to absorb the sweat trickling down your back. You lift the weights, 1, 2, 3, 4, up to 15. You finish your arms and move to your legs, you finish your legs and move to your abs, your sport bra supporting you all the same. You repeat the cycle, then move quickly to the cardio section.

The phone calls and meetings melt away from you, they can’t catch up with you, they can’t keep pace with you. You’re off, you’re gone, you’re miles away from lacy panties and bras and stress and everything else. You’re in your sport bras, pumping away, ignoring the sweat rolling off your forehead and onto the front of your sport bra. You’re miles away.
